St George

Today we popped across the Thames and down to Eltham to see the palace. We loved it. All art deco, bright and breezy. No photos allowed inside so I couldn't blip the two wonderful wooden panels depicting the two Alice books but outside, you could click as much as you liked.

This is the head of a statue called St George who looks very Greek. It was made by Alfred Hardiman in 1926 and is outside the squash court in a niche. I rather liked the bit of twig.

I've put the full statue in my folio, here.
