Sunday 19 February 2012: Circles of light
Perfectly brisk walking weather today so I took the hint and went for my usual jaunt around Maxwell Park to say hello to my favourite ducks and moorhens (the heron was having a snooze). This was one of few shots I was able to take - forgot to recharge my battery after yesterday's dance-off. Another walk around part of Pollok Country Park to see the horses at Dumbreck Riding School and at the Old Stables. Mobbed with children. Tempted to elbow them out of the way to get a good picture but on reflection would have been mean. Blue skies, perfect puffs of clouds, and crocuses flowering en route; very cheering to see. Glad none of the predicted snow fell here.
I feel so relaxed. It's a lovely feeling that I have an extra long weekend and don't have to go to work tomorrow or Tuesday. I'm ignoring my cleaning and am about to kick off my shoes, grab a cuppa, and curl up with a book I'm very much enjoying; The James Version by Ruth Dugdall. I do like a good murder.
