an itching in my thumbs

it feels weird not to be numbering and having to talk about texas...

today all i thought about, for the most part, was food. what i wanted, what i didn't, how generally upset my stomach felt and how i never wanted to see food again, etc. in celebration, central market seems to have done a redesign of their brown paper bag.

today i ran the half marathon in austin - i had a marathon registration, and had planned on running it for some time, but was sidelined by a knee injury in december and just couldn't recover the mileage enough to push it. yesterday i had some delusions of maybe being able to...but decided otherwise this morning. it was my second half, and just as good as the first mostly. i am hoping to do my first full in late spring...body cooperating.

all that said, for some reason i had serious stomach issues this race. as in stomach feeling queasy. not fun. but the race was fun, and i did get to eat afterwards (though i felt sick the whole 3 hour drive home...).

but really, we need to address something else. thank you all so much for the incredible outpouring of support on my one year yesterday. god, that was unexpected, honestly. i made the spotlight! a first for this habitual backblipper and horribly late commenter. you guys are the best - some new faces too, and all the great old ones.

gosh gee golly darn. in the words of those of you across the pond, i'm chuffed! so chuffed that i posted on time TWO DAYS IN A ROW.
