It's been raining

A couple of weeks ago this wheat field was hot and dry and just about ready... now it is more like a paddy field.

It had rained and rained and rained here - Mrs B had to take the truck to get to work today, and even still had to do lots of detours. There was a photo of the flooded main road through the village on the BBC website, and friends of ours had their kitchen flooded.

So far it seems to be just drainage problems - none of the rivers have burst their banks - so it is all pretty localised. We've been OK so far...
