Tuesday 21 February 2012: An addition to the family

Well, for a few days while our daughter is away on a little holiday in Portugal.
Charlie, nickname for Charoltte, is a lovely cat who has stayed with us in the past. Foxy and Jonty just love her and want her to play but I don't think she really gets the idea as she generally just hisses at them. They have been nose to nose before but Charlie doesn't trust them totally, after all they are still dogs to her.
We have a child's stair gate across the door of Julia's bedroom, not to keep Charlie in, that's impossible, but for the dogs protection so that if they want to play she can run away back to the bedroom and they can't get in because they don't have opposable thumbs to undo the catch on the gate.
