Growing old disgracefully

It's a real condition, affecting the Dutch in the 17th century to such an extent that some single tulip bulbs were priced at ten times the annual wage of a skilled craftsman (I am a slave to Wikipedia).

I have been photographing them from every angle, producing some interesting shots of hairy stigma and velvety anthers, but thought these would not be of much interest to anyone not afflicted by tulipmania. So for a blip I chose a more conventional image. More images here

These are obviously shop bought, but the tulip shoots in the garden are showing through already.
