Fernie
There's a little (or a lot?) of the wild west in this town. It's a bit rough, a little rustic, but very, very friendly. *THE* focus here is the mountains. Fernie ski resort is just a short drive out of town.
I had to take today off! As I said in my FB status today ... "No matter how fit a 56yr old is, when skiing with a fit 21yr old and a 30yr old who lives at the mountain and skis all season long, and no matter how young he likes to think he is, you just know he's in trouble! I guess I need to take a day off to recuperate". And that's what I'm doing - recuperating. I wandered about the town, bought a few groceries and will now start making the chilli dinner for tonight.
Emma arrived last night so she is out with Joel today. I will join them again tomorrow. The weather report looks like more snow on the way! Yahoo!
