UPS just picked this up. Further investigations and consultation with product specialists are apparently planned. Will keep you posted.
In the meantime, the only two contenders for a replacement are:
Lumix LX3
Ricoh GX200
I think it's about 55/45 in favour of the Ricoh at the moment.
