Thursday 23 February 2012: Only a memory now....
The Shen Haw Low Restaurant used to be at this corner.
When the owners decided to retire, they sold the site to VIP Buffet who ultimately moved to a more popular location. This corner became a shopping area with small businesses. (one of which is a tasteless fast food Asian restaurant.)
All that remains is the signage from the Shen Haw Low Restaurant, with the lady flying on the crane, and the Asian lettering.
It used to say Shen Haw Low where it now has the two colored squares and says University Square.
It was a very good restaurant. (sigh) I shall still miss it. :(
