Lady Marmalade

If you live in the UK, and if you listened to Radio 2 this morning, you might have heard Chris Evans interviewing Jane Hasell-McCosh talking about the World's Original Marmalade Awards event taking place for the seventh year at her home, Dalemain, near Penrith.

Last year 1,200 jars of marmalade were received from all over the world. This year they are expecting even more. Scottish entries are being encouraged because Scotland has been the home of marmalade, with the preserve as we know it, first produced in Dundee, by the Keiller family in 1797.

So this is where Paddington Bear will be seen this weekend!

I do wish I'd known there was a Marmalade Cat of The Year competition, I have so many photos of Ali I could have chosen from!
