International Space Station

The track is the sun reflecting off the International Space Station as it passes 750km above Aberdeen tonight ... here its passing the constellation Orion. The ISS is huge 72m x 108m and travels at average speed of 27,000km/hr, it is currently home to the 6 crew of Expedition XXX and I was sure to give them a wave as I was out watching their station speed past. The ISS was back overhead again about 90 minutes later having circled our planet and I tried some longer exposure shots to get a bigger trail, but this first one is my favourite of the day.
