Voyage of a Beagle & Lab

Falkirk Wheel

Horrible drizzly cold day! Ky and I took Coco to the Falkirk Wheel after lunch for a walk. This impressive piece of engineering was part of a Millennium Project to connect the Forth and Clyde Canal to the Union Canal. Every year it closes for the month of February to undergo maintenance work so it wasn't turning and there weren't any boat trips running today. There were still quite a few walkers about for such a dreich day - it's a great place to park the car to explore the Antonine Wall and the Roman fort at Rough Castle. Coco dipped her toes in the canal but still doesn't seem to keen on going for a swim - much to Ky's relief - she felt it much too cold to get into the water.

Home now and not planning on going out again. Going to cuddle up with pup and Ky and wait on the boys returning from the football and then settle down to a lovely dinner and a wee glass of wine.

Hope everyone having a great weekend!
