Saturday 25 February 2012: In otter news...

Me and some of the otter bro's are working on an opposable-thumb-evolution-type-thing, and I tell ya, when it happens, it'll be you lot on this side of the fence. Let's see how cute you can be swimming on your back, playing with a little stone to distract yourself from the perpetual monotony. Stick that Nikon somewhere else ape-face or there'll be a fish head flying your way in the next 5 seconds.


Jnr Snr was at a craft cub thing all day, and Mrs H went over to get broody see our 2-day-old nephew so it was just me and Jnr Jnr all day. I took her to an otter and owl park (I was hoping there'd be more O's, but there wasn't an octopus in sight). After calming her fears that owls do not in fact steal cameras (she'd heard somewhere they do), she relaxed a bit, but the chilly wind and all the walking took a toll on her so we then headed to a local park for some well-deserved play. Cute animals and swings - ideal day when you're five.
