Friday 2 March 2007: The thorn flower

It didnt rain in Bangalore for quite many months, the weather is dry and sunny.
Trees and plants all bearing an arid look.

At 1am today as I was about to sleep, this thorn flower standing with its head held high by my window pane, struck me as a motif that needs to be captured.

Yesterday was not my day as i was in a dilemma about a very important decision in my life.
But seeing this flower few of my doubts got cleared... it was oblivious of rain, sunshine and knew only to bloom amidst adverse conditions. Its thick and fleshy leaves knew long before to store water and give life to its own beautiful flowers.
