An ordinary life....

Game On...

Back blipped 27.02.12

Just about to hit midnight and that's another busy weekend gone! So sorry that I haven't managed to get any commenting done but just haven't had a moment to myself. Will make up for it this week though. :-)

Thanks for your comments wishing me a good night out last night. It was fab! Great company, fantastic food and champagne!! Thank you N & J!!! Not sure why I wasn't rather delicate this morning but I felt fine!

Alarm went off at 8 this morning and after getting D to hit snooze a few times, I finally got up at 8.45am. D emptied the bookcases in the study to transfer them to the bookcases in the new house, while I gave Alan lunch. Got to the new house just before one and in no time at all, had a huge pot of spag bol on the go as we were being jonined by Ele, Kenny, Andrew and Jennifer (nephew and neice) and Kenny's mum Ishbel.

David, Kenny & Andrew spent the afternoon hanging pictures, playing darts fixing door handles playing snooker and playing darts discussing the building work that's about to start and playing darts. It helps them feel manly handy. ;-))

Ele & Jen stacked the books in the bookcases whilst Ishbel and I sat and directed them. Well it's not right that the lady of the house does heavy manual work!! ;-)))

After the hard work was done the girls gravitated to the games room too and the boys v girls competative streaks appeared. Ele turned out to be a bit lethal with the darts knife throwing as a career is definitely not an option for her!!! but she gave us a hope with a strong start in the snooker, however for the sake of matrimonial harmony, she let Kenny win in the end Kenny's amazing snookers skills saw him win in the end. ;-)

Andrew & Jennifer's game was much more exciting with Andrew almost suffering the humiliation of being beaten by his little sis. The boy done good in the end though.

All in all a lovely family day in our new house. Building the memories has officially begun! :-))))

Hope everyone had a great weekend xxx

P.S. Thank you SO much for the card Mrs Withers and VERY appropriate it was too!! :D xxx
