Sunday 26 February 2012: Maybelline

When there are diners like this within a block or two, there's just no point in American hotels providing breakfast. I resisted the three egg-omelette with vegetarian chilli, sour cream, salsa, guacamole and Monterey Jack. For the time being.

The rest of the day was spent rushing around picking up bag loads of bargains and fighting with the hotel about the most ropey internet access this side of Silicon Valley.

The real work begins tomorrow, so best get some sleep...
