Monday 27 February 2012: Shiny things
I seem to spend a large proportion of my time sorting out 'stuff'. I seem to make great progress and yet still the 'stuff' keeps emerging. I filter and filter, make little decisions what to throw, what to keep, where to put things, where to move them on to. It's so wearing, though. Like my life is just curation of stuff when it should be about living and the stuff should be incidental. I know it is inevitable thing of moving house and changing my life and also with my mum dying and having her things to deal with. Just a phase of life for cleansing and reflecting.
These were a present so many years ago I cannot remember. I've never used them. But they obviously cost a bob or two and are nice and so can't jsut through them away. But not they ahve rusted a bit where the elastic of the case is in contact with the metal because of being in a damp house. I don;t know if there's a clever trick to remove such rust. I bet Lakeland Plastic has a potion or cream.
In other news, my duvet cover is possessed by the devil. I hate the whole on and off duvet cover process, but I tackled it head on today. I took the duvet cover off. Fastened every other button with the duvet cover the right side out. Put it in the washing machine with four pillow cases, two cushion covers and a towel. I took it out of the washing machine and it was inside out and all of the other items where inside it and THE BUTTONS WERE STILL FASTENED????
