Tuesday 28 February 2012: Reggie, Ronnie and the burning wheelie bin

It's catday Tuesday the graveyard slot for blipping . Choice between pin sharp focus with him refusing to cooperate/ blurry cute one.

This is Reggie who is almost 10 but still looks and acts like a kitten. I got he and his brother Ronnie - who's here Ronnie pic - from the same litter when they were 9 weeks old. Ronnie was the boisterous one you're meant to look out for in litters. Reggie was the little shy runt at the back being trodden on. I picked him first (I'm a sucker for weaklings). He nearly died the first week I got him as he was not in the best state when he was rescued. I went to the vets everyday and howled openly when they told me he might not make it. He lived as you can see! Ronnie and Reggie adore each other. Once when a crazy neighbour kept Ronnie for four months Reggie went around mewling for him every night. It was heart wrenching.

The crazy neighbour? Kept R in for four months, renamed him, her kids totally in love with him (she knew he was my cat)....big bad me comes to reclaim him when t'other neighbour grassed her up. The night before I moved to Oxford for a new job I heard something clunk through the letter box and it was Ronnie's magnet from his cat flap with a note attached saying 'I've still got his collar bitch'. Was later woken up by another neighbour at 5am to tell me my wheelie bin was ablaze. Having cats, especially cute ones, is a dangerous business!
