Wednesday 29 February 2012: wastin time?

we often laugh that bears are "time wasters" - eg. you go down for a quick 10 minutes and before you know it at least 20 have passed - but it's always time well spent and you leave smiling
today I had literally only 10 to run down and grab a photo - this guy headed straight for me, hunkered down opposite the fence where I was squatting and started checking me out (the best bear sense is smell) - i blew gently on his face, we had a quick chat and off I ran back to work
no time wasted there at all
