Wednesday 29 February 2012: Lichen Covered Hawthorn
I see this ancient old hawthorn every morning when I'm working down in Schull. It clings to a steep hillside and it's branches are so covered with an abundance of lichen, that one can barely see a naked twig! The farmer is ' improving' the field, which often results in any trees being ripped up, hopefully this one is out of the way of any digger bucket! It really is a magical tree and very beautiful!
I'm so tired today, after my guests had gone last night I had a trip down memory lane, watching favourite artists singing well loved tunes on YouTube! So a very late night, then the cat woke me very early this morning, drifted off to sleep in the relaxation bit of my yoga class!
