Between Days

Thursday 1 March 2012: Russians

I've had an interesting day and it's only lunchtime.

I conducted an early interview with a patient in her GP practice who was a total inspiration! I'm finding the interviews I'm doing so moving. It was great to walk back from the East End through to the City Centre and have a think. I took lots of pictures along the way, including a few portraits. I'm finding it much easier to approach people.

I spotted this couple near the Merchant City. They're visiting Scotland from Russia as part of their honeymoon. They were more than happy to pose under the Tron's terracotta archway (a previous blip of mine) but I cropped it down to show all the character in their faces. A very handsome couple I thought; clearly with a shared interest in scarves :-)

There was a very dodgy looking man who I suddenly became aware was loitering near me looking very shifty when I was down a side street. The way he was looking at me and my camera I got a definite sense that he was waiting to pounce. Only had my little powershot with me but still more care needed!

Off to get my car - but I'm considering leaving it at home more. So many more photos taken if I'm on foot!
