Ode to a Squirrel

Oh squirrel, what a wondrous swing,
such expert dingle dangl-ing,
your dedication in pursuit,
of winter nosh and tasty fruit

You bravely soar from branches high,
you focus,target, leap and fly,
to conquer feeders, suet balls,
you effortlessly scoff them all!

However, may I chance to say,
for little birds that come my way,
oh squirrel, no 'what ifs' or 'buts',
Please keep your paws from off me nuts!
