Thursday 1 March 2012: The Worst Indian Meal EVER

Mmmmm looks tasty no? The only reason for blipping this photo is for the accompanying words. I couldn't be bothered cooking tonight and Marie is away on business so I decided to go for a curry on my own. I can honestly say that in my 51 years of existence on this earth I have NEVER had a worse curry than this.

The chicken in the biriyani was so dry that it could easily have been moistened by adding sand from the beaches of Benidorm. Nevertheless I hoped that the curry sauce might save it but it turned out that it had as much taste and spicieness as the vacuum of space. To add food insult to culinary injury the nan bread was as thin as an oversized holy communion host. From memory it appeared to taste much the same. The waiter asked me if my meal was ok and I told him no it wasn't but he just shrugged and wandered off without even giving me a deduction on the bill..

I doubt many blippers have ever been to the lovely town of Albir on the Spanish Costa Blanca but if any of you do venture here take my advice. Steer clear of the HAWALI INDIAN RESTUARANT. Probably the worst Indian in the world.

PS: It's at times like this that I really do miss Mother India in Glasgow
