Kinda Horrigans

Thursday 1 March 2012: Even though this could pass for deepest Winter...

734/365: ... it isn't... it's SPRING!!!!

Okay. It's probably not officially, but it was all blue skies and fluffy white clouds today. I'm ignoring the whole 'in like a lamb and out like a lion' thing and in my head it is now going to be like this for the rest of the month.

Hooray!

Why my photo is utterly bleak and black and white, I'm not entirely sure. But this is part of my weekday approach* to photography. There's the 'sat in traffic, take a picture of anything you see through the window' type of shot... then this... the 'pull into a layby and snap anything you can see in front of you' sort... or alternatively the 'no photograph, take a shot of the kids doing something weird' school of image making. The problem with weekday photography is that I never have time to think about being in the right place at the right time... or when the right time happens, just can't do anything about it. For example, shortly after this as I was headed to Sheffield via Chesterfield, the sun rose properly and glowed through the most amazing wafts of cotton wool fog. Sadly, I was driving so mentally took a picture instead! Bye bye photographic opportunity!

The day at work was jam-packed with meetings to the extent where I ended up having lunch at 4pm. Then, headed home into traffic jam city. Really don't know what was up with the roads today. They were utter pants. I managed to sit through not one, not two but three stationary queues of boredom.

Anyway. I am going to stop myself from moaning. Good stuff today? Blue skies. Getting home to the kids playing outside. It not being dark before 6pm. Being grossed out by Felix 'printing' blood on Maddy from his scraped knee. Having conversations that made me laugh.

... ermmm...

And getting distracted by watching a rubbish film as I'm trying to write up my blip.

PS That means all other words have fallen out of my head
PPS And been replaced by a script so bad that it's killing off brain cells as I type...
PPPS Blurble...

* where 'approach' is me snatching any old rubbish that I can just so I don't have a gap in my journal!
