Saturday 20 June 2009: A posing ground squirrel ..

Oh how I wish I had a zoom lens back then!!
Only had my D90 a matter of weeks and was using the standard kit lens that comes with the body - now I have the 70 - 300mm I know what I missed out on in this shot (and a lot of others too)! Ah well, never mind.

This little fella sat on this log over a small watercourse just looking around and sometimes looking at me - I started photographing him when he was just a speck and crept slowly closer - this was the last but one shot before he scurried away!
