I rented skates and went skating on lake Kallavesi. Usually I've skated just with my old hockey skates. Lake ice isn't too smooth; It has cracks on it and now that the temperature is above zero there are also some softer spots on the ice. These were much better in those conditions than ordinary hockey skates.
