Friday 2 March 2012: Ferry
The Ben-my-Chree IOM Ferry passing the Old South Pier at 12:15 today to enter Heysham Harbour. This boat goes between Heysham and Douglas twice a day carrying passengers, cars and freight.
I have a bit of a connection with Heysham Harbour, my Great Grandfather was chief engineer for Price Wills the company that built the port and I have photographs of him and my grandfather who he employed on the construction in the late 1800's.
