Saturday 3 March 2012: Wall of Glass and Steel
Today has been a Hampshire Linux Users Group meeting day. We were in Southampton University - they let us in for free - and we can use their network which is quite a bit faster than your average home network.
We had two talks, one on using Lua from C/C++ and second one on tweaks to Debian from a former Ubuntu user. At future events this year I hope we can have a talk on using Hugin photo stitching software and there was a request for GPG security talk as we broke up.
Though there was a lot of talk about the Raspberry Pi, no one has one yet to play with, or blip! Apparently they were selling at a rate of 600 a second when they went on sale this week, not bad for a Linux device!
On the way out of the meeting the sun had come out and I managed to blip this shot of the inside of the building. It's not great, I had to crop it a bit to make it work but it's an interesting blip and marks the day.
