Saturday 3 March 2012: PATIENCE ON A MONUMENT
This lady stands in the centre of a town near to where I live. Her location is an oasis of calm in amongst the chaos. She presides over beautifully tended flowerbeds, ornamental trees and benches for folks to sit on.
"Patience on a monument" was one of my mother's favourite sayings which usually came just after the words "who do you think you are?". I have no idea why!
