airfix kit

today we visited raf cosford as it was a horrible rainy day, and its free! its a great museum which is definatly worth a visit.

this is a picture of one of the slightly more bizzare displays, this is the james may 1:1 scale model airfix spitfire, as seen on bbc2 in his toy stories series. i think there were about 6 episodes featured some of britains greatest toys, albeit used to the extreme.

the pilot to go in the kit is a lifesize model of james may himself, a little creepy up close, but still pretty cool.
