Bromwell Sifters

...are the best! My well used, battered sifter is on the left. It only has a single circle of metal to agitate the contents through the sieve. (My mother's sifter only has the single circle as well.)
The one on the right is a "newer" version. It has a double metal circle cage that agitates the dry ingredients.
I cannot figure out why the manufacturer would change the design. The older version is less likely to "strip" the threads on the turning rod, which is what happened to the newer sifter in this blip.
These sifters are so much faster AND easier to use than the squeeze handle style of sifter. They used to be sold in the grocery store on the baking utensil aisle, but now all they offer are the cheap squeeze handle type.

..and that was the afternoon edition In Today's Views. Good Day.
