Life, not as we see it.

Guess who's been using New, Blue Daz?

Spent about USD 80 today on Tuk Tuk, Guide & Entrance charges to Angkor Wat & Thom Wat complexes, and 7 hours walking and Tuk Tuking around. Quite different to the profile presented to the world in that behind the facade, much of the structure is in ruins. Not surprising when you learn what it's been through over the centuries as successive kings changed religion from Hindu to Buddhist, to Hindu and back to Buddhism.
Very little is still used as a religious place of worship and it is all managed on a commercial basis, with UNESCO support. Restoration is in progress, but I think I could be saying that in a hundred years from now. (No, I.m not planning on staying that long. . . . . . . But I might come back!! )
Angkor Wat is the only part still consecrated but is nonetheless little used.
I simply cannot remember exactly where we came across these two devotees, but they made in impact on the space by their stillness and silence.
Not doing any more temples for a while as it is all too much to take in never mind retain.
No plans yet for tomorrow. Thursday = Pension day, and 9 hour bus journey to Kam Pot on south coast.
Forever onward- - - - -
