Tuesday 6 March 2012: Channory Point Lighthouse

We got out today for our Tuesday afternoon trip. First stop was the local shop where my pupils were allowed to go in and buy a snack. This sounds straightforward but was a major achievement for one of my boys who managed this for the first time. When you are autistic things that seem simple to the rest of us can be very complex!

We headed off for the Black Isle and went to Channory Point. This is where the Beauly firth narrows and as the tide rushes through dolphins are sometimes spotted feeding on the fish congregating there. No dolphins today but we all enjoyed looking at the lighthouse. It's private property - fancy living in a lighthouse - that would be fun!
