Red Bellied Woodpecker facts

A windy glorious day with blue skies and rumpled head feathers on chickadees. My shy Red Bellied Woodpecker appeared when I was slightly hidden behind a feeder and I got many images . She was busy filling up on suet and she is beautiful indeed. The female has a partial red head, the male has more red feathers meeting his beak.

For the Record,
This day came in with strong, warm winds from the south, warm temps and deep blue skies. 55 degrees f, 25 degrees warmer than yesterday, high 60s tomorrow!! Off for a long walk by the water soon.
