Wednesday 7 March 2012: Snow showers!
It was a return to winter today with heavy squally snow and sleet showers but thankfully none of it stayed on the ground. March is always such a changeable month - one moment blazing sunshine the next throwing you back into winter again.
The daffodils and primroses are still blooming and so I like to gauge the season's progress from their presence rather than the weather! I went for an early morning walk today and it was lovely to breath in the fresh air, listen to the seabirds and watch the early morning light cast it's warm glow on everything. So it was disappointing to have to take this shot from inside the car on the way home to keep the camera dry!
