Wednesday 7 March 2012: Grove Head

Another in an occasional series of Bradford's stone heads, this one adorns the college's Grove Library on Great Horton Road.

As usual, it is the evening glow of the sandstone that caught my attention. I didn't notice the weathering which has produced the effect of white eyes until viewing the image later.

I assume this is a representation of a classical figure, perhaps Minerva?
