This is Steve on the lathe making a valve for a pump.
All the parts for the pumps are made here in our factory in Mzuzu.
The initial training was done by Richard Cansdale, the man behind the Canzee pump. Visitors from everywhere who come to visit are amazed that all this work is now done by Malawians.
Richard's training has stood them all in very good stead and they are all very proud of their achievements.
The pump is unique and amazing and can be maintained in villages by the women who use it, which may be unique or certainly rare.
