simple-ish

Fortunately, after a couple of minutes dithering about how to deal with distortion, the wee figure in the background emerged from the tunnel just as the one who had been walking past in the foreground worked their way out of shot.

This year's work photo club photo-of-the-month themes are a little less definition-dependent than last year, resulting in more of a need to consider how the majority of people looking at them and voting might interpret the theme in relation to a particular photo. More fun than any result is the reaction of nearby colleagues when the entries and winners are revealed and (when it's not obvious from them having seen an entry somewhere else, such as on here) theirprocesses for determining which entry is TFPs and which is mine. This year I've done what I've been meaning to do for three years and entered the themes into my phone's calendar so that I can try and remember to take some for-the-purpose shots rather than having to scrabble amongst incidental pictures on the day before the entry-submission date.
