Wednesday 7 March 2012: "Gutted" - Flight Path....
Well we can't win them all! :-)
I knew that tonight was going to be a really late one as it was the final of Durham University "University Challenge" and that my only blipping opportunity was going to be between 13:50 & 13:55!!
You are probably wondering why such a precise time? Well it goes like this... Yesterday after capturing the shot of the Comorant, I was just about to enter the building and there was a KLM plane literally perched on top of the infinity bridge - it looked so close you could almost wave to the passengers! PING a light bulb moment... So after checking the departure and arrival boards for the flights into Durham Tees Valley airport, I learnt which plane it was and indeed the flight path was over my head. Great Blip I thought :-) Not today, due to the winds the plane did cross near about 3 miles further inland :-(
So today we have the delightful Infinity Bridge in great daylight with out a KLM plane. I did take another couple of shots on the way home but I wasn't inspired.
