Thursday 8 March 2012: LET THE SILT FLOW FREE....
After weeks of rain...about 1 full day of sunshine...the mighty Gan river is swelling again...and the brownish silty water flows quickly...soon the silt pumpers and dredgers will be working overtime and river barges will be full, removing the bottom silt to allow the loaded boats free passage...and not getting snared by a thick bottomed silt dune.( photo by Iain Dewar)
