These are random 3D movie glasses. These are actually plastics, not glasses, but who cares. The lenses aren't actually lenses either, theyre more like filters. Polaroid filters.
LCD screens give off polarized light. So if you look trough your polaroid filter, you'll see the same image, a strage (darker, blue-ish) color, or just black. Now this is VERY usefull (it is? no, actually not, but whatever) if you want to know if there is dust on your screen. Because that does funny things with the ligth as well, which in the end means that it actually shines trough your glasses, even when most of your screen looks black. You sure wanted to know that, didn't you?
Anyway, what you can't really do is make reliable photographs of that. So you get this and the nerdrant instead. Cheers.
