Friday 9 March 2012: Summerlee Machines

I dropped by for a couple of quick pictures.

One of them was the Thomas Newcomen Steam Engine which features on the latest First Class Royal Mail Stamp in the U.K. It dates back to 1712 and has been restored at the museum in Coatbridge.

I wasn't keen on my picture of it (the old picture on the stamp is much better) so I went with this one instead.
