My entry for Blasts 2012 Challenge - Art.
This is a picture that hung in my Grandmas house for years. Whilst the house was stuffed full of paintings, photos, antiques, knick-knacks and pretty things, this was always my favourite picture and I was so happy to be able to move it to my house when she passed away.
She was a very special woman who spent her 'Old Age' looking after a mass of grandchildren and doing endless charity work through organising and participating in attic sales in the Wirral area of the world.
This painting now hangs in my kitchen and is usually the first thing I see when I come home and as well as bringing me pleasure from being a lovely picture, it gives me the sense of 'coming home'. A permanent reminder of a lady that meant so much to me.
