Friday 9 March 2012: routing error
The problem with having to do this stuff late at night is that there is a risk of this sort of stuff happening. Even though this only occurred because the shifter wasn't attached to the bars there was no chance of it fitting through the small gap, so the brake had to be disconnected again. Little things, but they mount up and become dispiriting, especially when attempting to make things fit together that were evidently not designed to be together in the same room, never mind on the same short section of handlebar.
