Sunday 11 March 2012: Dwarf Cyclamen

Spring is officially here! Our allotment is almost entirely free from snow. Hooray! Dwarf cyclamen, far east amur adonis, snowdrops and giant snowdrops are flowering or almost flowering. Lots of other things are starting to pop out of the ground.

We spent a long and lovely day in the sunshine, busy with the 'spring clean'. More than half of the allotment is now cleaned from last year's stalks, dead leaves etc. Wohoo!

The overwintering Robin is still around, and lots of other birds were busy emptying our bird feeders. Temperatures were around +3-4°C.
