Tuesday 13 March 2012: Two Spot Ladybird

Dull day today, by which I mean it has been dull and misty. That does mean the thermal imaging has gone well but it also means my blipping has been feeble. After doing the washing up I spotted a two spot ladybird (Adalia bipunctata) on the kitchen ceiling. I dashed upstairs to grab my camera and took a few pictures in the kitchen before it flew away. This is the best one.

They maybe small but they are voracious predators, I've even seen one eating a much larger Harlequin ladybird!
