Tuesday 13 March 2012: Te Matua Ngahere
Father of the forest. The second largest Kauri, but this guy has a presence , I like this one. Nonetheless if you ever visit Northland IMHO you got to visit these both Tane Mahuta and spend the hour walk to and back to see Te Matua Ngahere.
Job done yesterday and all day to get home so a few hours extra to get this shot - no brainer in my book. I've had a go at this before but this time, a proper lens and tripod makes all the difference
