Wednesday 14 March 2012: Mutant attack!!!

I'm no bird specialist - well, not of the flying kind* anyway - but HAVE YOU SEEN THE SIZE OF THE BEAK ON THAT STARLING?!?!

Jeeperz, momma starling did more than pick worms** next to that handsome curlew many moons ago.


* and no, I don't have a thing for ostriches and emus
** don't you birdie experts tell me that starlings don't eat worms. They eat ANYTHING. They are the new pigeons. They outclass the gulls. I know, I've been doing experiments. They are especially fond of bits of cartilage from Tesco chicken wings (12 for EUR2, barbecue sauce at no extra charge)
