Thursday 15 March 2012: They're Back
It was a fabulous day here weather-wise, so we went off to Schierstein to see if the Storks had come back. And as you can see, one of them has. Actually there are lots and lots and I'm as pleased about it as I was about this time last year. I love the madness of the nest, I like that this is the nest below another nest in a pylon. I'm just very glad that they are back.
No more sign of the cranes though. Maybe they take the train through Wiesbaden.
Yesterday's song in German was You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth (or to give it its full Jimmy-Saville-a-million-points-to-me-Dignified title "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)"). Today's song goes like this :-
