Thursday 15 March 2012: St Enoch Clock
Taken in the Town Centre Cumbernauld.
It was originally located in Glasgow's St Enoch Railway Station, built in 1870 and eventually closed in the 1960's, as part of the infamous Dr. Beeching's massive railway closure program. He really was a disaster.
This iconic clock was eventually presented to Cumbernauld in 1977, as the new town celebrated its 21st birthday.
It famously made a star appearance in the superb Movie - 'Gregory's Girl'.
The last time I Blipped it, it wasn't functioning so its nice to see it now restored to working order.
